Background information on the Vessel
The vessel, Queen of the Colonies made five trips from the United Kingdom and Ireland to the colony of Queensland during the 1860s. Unfortunately no picture of the ship is known to exist. However, Mr Don Braben has kindly supplied me with this copy of his Queen of the Colonies painting:

NOTE: From Don Braben: I based my painting on the Wizard, her name before being sold to Black Ball Line. There is a deck plan of Wizard in the book The American Built Clipper Ship 1850-1856 by William Crothers |
